I need some legal advice?

well, i had a car accident about 7 months ago, and i was 17 at the time, but i hit a truck head on.....and today, i got a sumons to be in court b/c the guy is sueing me for the amount of $650,000 what do i need to do about this? i have no job, nothing in my name, i dont see as there is much that they can do. but im thinking of letting a lawyer to look at my case and see what he says.I need some legal advice?
Be advised that a judgment against you, even though you are a minor, can be renewed every ten years until it is paid. That is my understanding of the law.


It would be best to have an attorney represent you now. The judge could easily decide that the amount sued for is excessive but you need to have an attorney to represent you. Failure to show up in court will force the judge to enter a default judgment against you.I need some legal advice?
Because the time was so many months they might not do anything but you still need to get a lawyer to look at the case and represent you. You still will have to show up for the court date.


Sorry about the accident but you will probably wined up owing money not only to the court and the lawyer but to him as well. But it will all work out one way or another.
Did you have insurance at the time? if so, you need to turn it over to your insurance company. Also, were there any criminal charges at the time of the accident? You probably would be wise to at least consult with an attorney especially considering you were under 18 at the time of the accident.
with 650 grand riding on the outcome a few grand for legal advice sounds pretty reasonable to me.
