Separate bank accounts? Legal advice.?

If my husband dies and we have spearate bank accounts, would I be able to get the money. (or vice versa)?

He has 2 kids from his previous marriage and we have no kids together (yet)

Legal facts only, please.Separate bank accounts? Legal advice.?
He will need to list you as the beneficiary on his account, ask your banker for the proper form to fill out. Once you are beneficiary, if anything happens to him the money goes to you.Separate bank accounts? Legal advice.?
Depends on the State. But to each access the money seamlessly, both names should be on the account. If there is a previous trusts from before the marriage, separate accounts may allow either spouse to hide assets like a pre-nuptial, as long as the spouse can prove the money was not used to support the marriage
Alot of this depends on the state where you live.

There are laws that vary slightly from state to state regarding how the estate of the deceased is handled.
