I need some Legal advice about Child support?

My daughters father wants nothing to do with her and does not want to pay child support. I have a case already open with the Attorney General but they've done nothing because he was out of state at a university. When i informed them that he was back in town they called and he said he was going back for the summer (Which he didn't ) and would be back in the fall. He's been here the whole time and they've done nothing. Now he's threatend to talk my daughter from me so that i'll have to pay child support. just for the info we're both 19. i haven't spoken to him in about 3 weeks. My daughter is already 7 months old and the only thing i've received from him is a small pack of diapers and a box of wipes. What should i do to get the attorney general to take so legal action? or to get anything done? plz help. Thank YouI need some Legal advice about Child support?
Since he is bouncing on the court date, try to get the judge to grant a warrant to cease him, that way he can't jump state and not make court. I think you made the right choice on going to court, that way he has to pay up for his child.

Good luck with your court case.

Since you cannot support a child, you should not have had one. But due to they fact that you are irresponsible, now you have one. If you didn't open your legs so quickly you wouldn't be in this situation now would you? I do not feel sorry for people like you, you got what was coming for being such an ignorant fool. Sorry if im too honest for you, but that is the truth.

All I can say is may god be with the poor child.
If you need legal advice you should call a lawyer. If you just want an opinion you can ask here. I'm not joking, I'm serious.
I don't know what state you live in but call the court and see if they have a Family Law or Child Support case facilitator at the courts. Also ask them if there are any free legal aid clinics in your town.

As far as I know he does not have to be present in your state for them to send him a letter telling him he has to pay support. He just has to have an address. If it's a university that's OK.

If I were you I would stop talking to him unless it's to get his current address. Talking will just lead to more fights and who needs that? He's already said he doesn't care about the baby but he's willing to try to take her from you if she comes with a check attached, so to Hades with him. Just get his address and search for some free legal aid in your town.
Go to legal aid
I suggest you consult with a private attorney to see what if any legal resources are available to you in your jurisdiction. In some states the state agency which pays welfare benefits is empowered to pursue child support even for children who do not receive welfare -- the theory being that without child support a child is more likely to need welfare. Unfortunately, those agencies are often overwhelmed and understaffed and can't really do much. If the agency is able to pursue the matter, there can be very good results. You may need to hire an attorney and get a court order for child support, and those are more valuable these days since a person in violation of a court order for child support are in many states unable to get or to renew all sorts of business and professional licenses and can lose their driving licenses, and that is strong motivation to pay up! Best of luck!
you should have gotten married before having kids

thats what u get for having unmarried sex

too bad

theres a little you can do, but you will have to keep on top of it and it will cost you more than what u get
