Civil Court and Legal Advice?

Me and my mother were sued by a local credit Union for what was an repo...they sold the truck now we owe the rest. BUT, there is a story behind all this...its too long...but to be short... It wasn't our intention to turn the truck back in....we were wanting to trade it in on something else. The dealer knew that! He put my in another truck....and made profit of both vehicals! and this one just less than a month apart! I know, only a month WOW! But, the point is I asked to trade back in and they said sure....and I THOUGHT thats what we did but they put it down as repo! Anyways, Im in North Carolina. Its been 3 and ahalf years and now they are trying to sue for the rest ($25,000). We went to the first court hearing.... the lawyer thats against us said there was some documents he hasn't seen before and wanted to continue this another time....so we did, well, we went back 2 months later and told our side of the story to the judge for the first time.... she said it sounded like it needs to be heard in trial, she DENIED the Motion for Summary Judgement.....the she told us to get a lawyer ourselves and we gotta go back again sometime after the first of the year!

Anybody have any advice on this...or know what kind of lawyer would take this case? We have ALL evidence to prove that we did NO wrong! PLUS, the dealership that we bought it from got sued for 16 Million for screwing with people and doing the same stuff!!! Any help would be awesome! Like I said...im from North Carolina.Civil Court and Legal Advice?
Please note this is not legal advice. I think you need legal advice which you should get from a north carolina lawyer. I'd start by finding out the name of the lawyer who filed the $16 million suit against this same company. He or she may defend you and can let you know whether you have any legitimate claims back against the company.
