Desperate need of legal advice--Small Claims?

A former friend of mine has things that are mine and she refuses to give them back. (for what reason, IDK!). I want what is mine, and although most of the items are not of high value, it is still my property. I live in Montgomery County, PA. I have looked up small claims courts, and nothing I have read says that I can ';sue'; for my items, I can only sue for money. I dont want the money--I just want my things!! Can anyone help me out??Desperate need of legal advice--Small Claims?
THEY ARE RITE! U FOR SURE GUARENTED U MONEY IF YOU HAVE THE RECEIPTS FOR THE ITEMS OF EVER SERIAL NUMBERS...OTHER THAN THAT U PRETTY MUCH WONT GT UR STUFF BACK....IM SORRY!!! (WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND) SHE WONT GET AWAY!!!Desperate need of legal advice--Small Claims?
Definitely, you can received your items instead of money. Explain to to court head (Judge) that you do not want compensated for your items, but just wish for the safe return of all items. The Judge will order the return of all of your property and your friend does not return them, she will be arrested.
you sue for the value. In court they will most likely give our friend the option to return the items...if they still have them
email me my friend mom a lawyer i cam ask her for you
I have never heard of not being able to sue for the return of your things. That makes no sense.
You must go to the small claims division offer an itemized list of your items and make a value list and take that to court with you
You should call the police and ask them to escort you to retrieve your personal items.
You can sue for the items, just put some arbitrary monetary amount on them when filing the court documents, and when it comes to court explain to the judge that compensation will be attained with the return of the property as opposed to the financial equivalent, if he rules in your favour he will indeed make the court order to read merchandise......G'luck-Cheers from Canada-Tripod.
You can sue to have your items returned. Watch court TV and be prepared with any evidence you have.
Maybe you need to go to her house and tell her that you want your things back and are willing to sue her if she doesn't return them.
Sue for 2 or 3 times the value of the items, add on the cost of suing and damages.

First the former friend will be served and may realize that giving things back would be cheaper. You can always settle and drop the suit.

Second, the judge will hear your side and that is when you can explain what the money represents. Again, you may be given the option of settling out of court.

Realize that the courts are crowded and settling a claim will always make judges happy.
